Captive Coed on Skull Island

It is 1977, three young coeds are going out to Skull Island so one of them can complete her term paper on the supposedly haunted house. According to the locals there is a creature called Skulk is living on the island who is blamed for the disappearances of several people over the years. Could the stories about Skulk be true and what if they are?
