The Religion of George Fox as Revealed by his Epistles

The following pages are an attempt to describe George Fox’s religion in the usual sense of that word, rather than to deal with his advice to Friends regarding “dress, speech, and behavior.” In other words, we are here concerned with the inner sources of outward action, although outward action is as important an element in the whole of religion as is the inner source.
