Amy Stevens is a high school freshman in a rough spot; she's not pretty, she's not smart and she's got no friends, none that can stand her, at least. Amy knows she has to make a change, or else get eaten alive in the new pecking order. She finds herself crossing the lines of groups and conformity, eventually coming face-to-face with the Goth king himself; Jack Holly. But the tall, black-clad boy and his friends that once terrified her are not what she once thought. Something has changed. Maybe everything.
