Dr. Emily De Ravenal is a woman of modest ambitions. Having overcome the impediments of a genetic condition and an eccentric family her main goal in life was to secure tenure at the small private college where she taught archeology. But when a modest dig in the English countryside becomes a history changing discovery Emily must rely on the skills of her all too conveniently capable security detail, the abilities of her assistant and a brilliant physicist to keep a priceless treasure out of the grasp of a duplicitous smuggler and a maniacal arms dealer.
