The Dream of an Idol

Lloyd Cele made a decision to trade a life and mindset of lack, for
a life of focused and effective purpose. This is his story. A harsh
yet soulful journey from a destitute and fatherless upbringing in
the poverty-stricken township of KwaMashu, to the highly acclaimed
stages of Sun City with South Africa’s leading performers in the South
African Idols competition. His is a ‘dark horse’ story of literally coming
from out of nowhere with nothing and risking everything for a dream.
And the dream? To use his life as a blueprint for building others’
dreams. To responsibly infect the next generation with the contagious
viruses of motivation, education and activation so they can capture a
vision for themselves to step out and not only do what he has done,
but to also reach out beyond and do even more. It’s not about one
dream. It’s about moving a new wave of youth, teens and adults across
borders, cultures, classes and races to start and never stop dreaming
and achieving. This is what builds a legacy that is never ending. This
