Alone in the world, the narrator travels the country firing people for a living. Young, beautiful, and in love with her own power, she enjoys the suffering of others. But something is different this time, she can't stop thinking about her first firing here in this small American town, a pathetic crying worm of a man 4 years from his retirement. As she approaches her car nightly, She stars seeing simple shadows turn into monsters out to get her. Convinced that such things are impossible she presses on. But shes about to discover something truly terrifying, monsters are real.
