PREVAILING OVER WITCHCRAFT

The topic about witchcraft is vast with details that may discourage someone with problems. If you go to the doctor and you are told that you have flu, you will not appreciate the doctor telling you about other strings of flu virus, how it came to be discovered and other facts. At that time, you just want the doctor to prescribe some appropriate medications for you and let you go back home to sleep. This is comparable to the history of witchcraft. It has history dating back to the beginning of human creation. It is a part of nature that is manipulated to fit a cruel intention. There is no community or country in the world that does not have a dark history of how the question was tackled. It is part of all spiritual and temporal affairs even to the highest echelon of the society. The issue of witchcraft is a very misunderstood aspect of Christianity. Many people have being stigmatized or punished as a result of limited understanding of this practice. As a result, fear and terror have marred the route of understanding how to deal with it. Those that follow or teach the literal interpretation forget that this is a spiritual concern. As a result, many homes are in shambles and many lives ruined. It also did not solve the problem.
The verse that is frequently mentioned in relation to this matter is, Exodus 22:18: "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live."
The phenomenon of witches and wizard is not new in the bible but has been there for the very beginning.

Fear and lack of understanding have even caused some people to avoid reading anything related to witches and wizards.
A lady told me that one of her co-workers was competing with her for a senior staff position. So, I asked her if she qualified for the position and she said she was. She told me that the position was based on seniority in the firm and she was two years and five months the other staff's senior. She confided that she was very afraid because the staff has boosted that she was a witch. I told her that it was a good outcome because she now knows who she is dealing with. That night, I prepared some prayers for her and gave her a bottle of water that I had prayed upon during the vigil. I asked her to either stay late at work or arrive early on the day of decision.
Within a week they invited both of them for the interview. I asked her to take a fast, pray and sip from the bottle of water I gave her. When it was time, the other staff was called in. after fifteen minutes she was called in too for her own interview. They asked her if she ever received any disciplinary action from the company and she said no. that was the end of the interview for her – just five minutes. By noon time they had sent letters out to both of them. She was very afraid to open her own but watched the reaction of the other staff. I had already told her not to boast or scream when she is selected but to find a quiet place and give God all the glory. So she ran into the toilet and opened her letter in that place. When she discovered that she was selected, she knelt down in the toilet space and gave God all the glory, the honor and victory. She was sent to another floor and had nothing to do with the other staff again. God has won another battle for her. The other staff used the common tools of witches and wizards which is fear to intimidate her but the power of God is the power above all powers.
