Offering herein are the reflections of Paul E. Ferrier, a native of Haiti who grew up during a time before television was available to entertain and expand horizons of children. During his early childhood, elders of his family and community verbally relayed, often quite expressively and with the exuberant gestures, tales passed down through generations. Although reciting stories to youngsters have been replaced in modern society by multiple media, Paul wishes to keep these stories - so germane to his heritage - alive for future generations.
