A Passion to Teach

This series of stories follows the author on his teaching journey. Kowles balances family and finances while working his way through college, his first jobs at the high school level, and graduate school, before finally gaining a Ph.D. in genetics. Much of the book deals with teaching at the college level and all that comes with it (chairing a department, conducting research, and engaging in scientific communication). Kowles also offers personal opinions on the fun and throes of teaching.
