Can We Put a Ferris Wheel in the Bathroom? ...and Other Observations

This book is written for young readers in preschool through first grade. It gives the reader a rare glimpse of what is happening in the mind of a child with autism by expressing the thoughts, emotions and experiences of Ian Gordon. Through several conversations and bedtime stories, the characters of this work were born. Colleen drew the outlines of each character according to Ian’s description and Ian colored them in. Colleen wrote down Ian’s thoughts about each character as he said them.
