Peaceable Affairs

Emma, recently married, with a child on the way, is married to Daniel, the eldest son of a plantation owner in post revolutionary America. John Adams is president, and the country is full of political turmoil not present previously during Washington’s presidency. The political troubles are tethered closely to their personal lives and their families, causing strife among their relatives. The Quasi-War with France settles in as a real war between Daniel and his father, a fight over political beliefs mixed with family ties.
