Maybe Marty got his lifelong fascination with the idea of being eaten alive from his mother's famous, scandalous oracular relationship with Osiris, the god of death and rebirth. Maybe he got it from his odd friendship with the Sphinx that lived outside of town. Either way, when a strange noblewoman from a far-away land comes to the temple for a prophecy, and Marty learns her deadly secret, his reaction isn't what anyone expected...
