When the sun is hottest, it cast its own shadow. This form of shadow is commonly shady and short to the extent that you will can touch the owner of the shadow. There is no way that you can be under a person's shadow when things are "hot" that you will not be in close associate. For you to abide under the shadow of the Almighty, you will have to be in close proximity with Him. As a result, to abide in His shadow is to touch heaven. That is the situation of this invocation. It is an affirmative prayer that should be repeated over and over in time of crisis and in time of peace.
Many a times we have sought God when indeed we are standing under His shadow.
A family of six planned to have travel to their home country for the Christmas holidays. They had made preparations, from air tickets to cleaning out their old house in the country-side. On the appointed date, they missed their flight. Anxious and tired, they re-scheduled their flight. They missed it again. Christmas holiday's plane flight was unavailable after that. With all their plans in shambles the family had no choice but to disappoint the children and spend a quiet unplanned Christmas back home.
Meanwhile, something was happening in their country home. Some relatives decided not to waste the opportunity of a well-prepared house and well-stocked refrigerator and freezer. They decided to move into the house for the remainder of the Christmas holidays. They wish they had stayed in their own house after day one. Some hooligans looking for fun landed in the same house hoping the owners would be there and would have dollars for them. Unfortunately they met some other family members that have no dollars. In anger, they descended on these family members and gave them the beating of their lives. Thank God none of them lost their lives. The hooligans informed them they would be coming back the next day and they should have with them dollars or else.
