The Day of the Vultures

The Civil War was over, the cost was devastating for both North and South. Ft Whipple near Prescott, Arizona was growing along with the responsibility of the shrinking Union Army. John Richland was demoted and humiliated, his ambition and cruelty would change the life of many. The events that follow would remain unresolved to this day; viewpoints on who was responsible would remain unclear. Perhaps one should follow the money trail or analyze the situation with today's forensics. How convenient that the records were lost and evidence scattered.
