Teachers are always searching for new, engaging, and integrative strategies. The major concerns with any strategy are will they help with student retention, real understanding of subject matter, and interest in learning.1 If you have used the drill and kill method with mountains of worksheets, this may not be a book for you. Students only look at worksheets as something they need to complete and do not make the real connection between what they are doing and learning. In other words, the information is not retained; they have not gained understanding, and exhibit little interest in the learning process.
