Saga of the Red Truck -- Life Lessons From Here and There is a collection of 30 stories from my youth and adult years. The book is similar to my earlier books: Hikes, Flights, and Lookout Stories -- Life Lessons From High Places; and, Dogs, Camping, and Other Candid Tales -- Life Lessons From the Out-of-Doors.
In the current book you will read about how I climbed up into the church belfry and dropped water balloons on parishioners as they came out of the morning worship service. You'll learn about my escapades as a Boy Scout, a paperboy, and a college prof. You will also discover what happens when a minister has a pet skunk and what it is like to give away a trombone after years of solo playing.
As with the other books, each story ends with a moral or spiritual connection. I hope you find this helpful in applying the experiences to your own life. After all, life itself is a schoolroom that teaches us about values and how to live in a worthwhile way.
