Mental Health Facilities in the United States

Dr. Ledford describes the advantages and disadvantages of Crisis Centers in the United States in her book, “How Are We Rated on Taking Care of our Mental Health Population?" She shares her personal and professional experiences and explanations of researchers on the problems mental health patients face and how best crisis centers can help them to live a more meaningful life by allowing them longer stay and better supervision. Dr. Ledford’s recommendations, if adhered to, could be the beginning of better outcomes for these great facilities as it could help in the healing process of mental health patients allowing them to live safer and more productive lives.
