"The king's face lit up because he had an immediate sense of relief and satisfaction. He knew that Daniel was telling the truth, and was extremely excited because he could not wait to hear the interpretation. Daniel paused for a few seconds and then followed with the dream interpretation.
"O king, the mighty G-d gave you a powerful and prominent kingdom. The statue in the dream is a metaphor and symbolizes the future events. The golden head of the statue symbolizes you because your kingdom is vast and extremely prominent in the world.

After your death, your two sons will rule the kingdom of Babylon for a while more. When your youngest son, Belshazzar, dies, a new kingdom will raise, which will take the ruling power from your descendants. However, the new kingdom will be smaller and humbler than your kingdom, as silver is lower and humbler than gold, and you saw that the chest of the statue, which is after the head, was of silver. So will be a kingdom of Media and Persia, which will replace the kingdom of Babylon, be humbler than the kingdom of king Nebuchadnezzar.

After those kingdoms, another will rise, as tough as the copper torso of the statue and it will be the kingdom of Alexander Macedon the Greek, and it will be extremely powerful. It will rule over the entire earth.
After that empire comes to an end, four kingdoms will emerge from that kingdom. These kingdoms will be as strong as the iron thighs of the statue. These kingdoms will be divided kingdoms. When the time comes, they will disintegrate as well, and as they crumble, they will shatter and crumble all the nations within it and scatter them all around the world.

In the next kingdom, the kingdom of Rome, two kings will arise. One will be tough, the other one will be weak, but since they will develop together, the weak king will have some of the strength of the strong one, and people will respect them both. Part of the kingdom will be as strong as iron and the other part will be as weak and as broken as clay. Different nations from the kingdom will intermarry, but as iron does not mix with clay, they will not wholeheartedly mix with one another, and their laws and customs will differ from the laws of the nations they mix with."...
