The Whistler Agenda

As a sequel to The Quixote Files, The Whistler Agenda follows Baltimore Times reporter Martin Cosgrove as he unravels the tangled intrigue of progressive Presidential candidate Robert X. Stoneman’s confrontation with conservative foes determined to stop him at any cost. Stoneman’s plan to make high speed transportation using Maglev technology the keystone of his administration, has inspired outrage from politicians and the industries which might experience the competition.
Martin receives a flash drive containing copies of numerous documents which purport to illuminate a sinister agenda at foot in the planning of the invasion of Iraq by the Bush/Cheney Administration. In providing the drive, Deanna Whistler, implores Martin to expose the plot in his stories, to correct history and possibly lead to a federal investigation. The documents conceal a potentially explosive secret which could destroy Stoneman’s candidacy.
He finds that Deanna Whistler was an alias, and that she was murdered shortly after delivering the flash drive. A circuitous trail leads him to a Political Action Committee formed by the original Quixote members, with whom Martin and the Senator battled the previous year. The group now has connections in Iran and Turkey. As his stories inspire the FBI and CIA to form a joint task force, Martin finds himself in grave peril as he navigates a fine line between criminality and justice - between the FBI, the CIA, insane politicians, and lawless lawyers.
