Cold Machines

A post-apocalyptic fiction set after an indescribable race of machines descends upon the world. "Drop. A droplet of water like rain falls on me from a shredded gutter above. A single, lonely concrete structure stands behind me and I stand in the middle it a long overgrown field and I see animals moving through the brush, wild and vital, mercury things."
