LOVE'S EXECUTIONERS comprises two complete novels: VERITY and PERSEPHONE. In both novels a young married couple in New York are deeply in love, and someone in Washington wants them dead. These are wonderful love stories. PERSEPHONE would be classified as a literary novel. However, it is quite readable. Graham Greene felt Part One of Persephone raised the author to the most talented writer of his generation.
