Edmee: A Tale of the French Revolution

The Marcel children are curious about the portrait of the charming little girl that hangs above the mantel in their living room. Who was she and what is the relationship between her and their family? They are excited when their mother agrees to tell them her story. Little Edmee starts out with an idyllic life in a rural France. Her family are aristocrats but have a compassionate and friendly relationship with the peasants in their village. But when the “Reign of Terror” sweeps across France will the Valmont family’s kindness be enough to spare them from the people’s wrath?
