After watching his house struck by lightning and his two horses' sudden disappearance, Alex was very worried. Just down the road where he lived he had an argument with the land owner. The man complained that his two horses graze on his land. Alex issued an apology but the man was not taking none of it. He wanted the two horses away from his land else they would disappear. Not planning any confrontation, he walked away and kept his horses within his own field.

A certain day he attended a town meeting and saw the man there. The man confronted him and said the two horses where on his property again. Alex was sure they were not. Then the man placed a curse related to fire, commanding lighting to strike if the horses ever came on his property. Alex ignored him and walked away. On reaching the house he checked the horses and they were not on his property. He drove out his car and made to drive in search of them when there was a slight drizzle then lightening. As he made the turn off his property, a bolt light came from the sky and struck the hay stack he just offloaded. Turning back, he took out the fire extinguisher but the fire was fast and quick. He was overwhelmed. His other neighbor was half a mile away. He called the fire emergency and watched as his house burnt to the ground.
