Freeform Doily Wrap Shawl Crochet Pattern

Make a beautiful wrap out of doilies you've purchased or made yourself! A wonderful way to use new or heirloom doilies! The instructions tell you how to select the doilies, lay out the wrap, attach the doilies to each other, and crochet a border with beads and dangles.

MATERIALS:
Doilies of various sizes in a harmonious color scheme (the sample pictured uses 8 doilies between 6” and 21” in diameter)
Note: The number of doilies you need depends on the size of the doilies and the size of the wrap that you want to make.
Approximately 300 yards of cotton crochet thread in a complimentary size and color to the doilies.
Approx. 275 small beads in matching colors with a center hole large enough to fit easily onto the crochet thread.
Size 6 steel crochet hook (or size appropriate for your thread).
FINISHED SIZE: Variable. The sample pictured measures 2 1/2’ wide x 5 1/2’ long.
