A family shares the brutality of this devastating illness and the reality of trying to cope with the system. Fred was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia in his teens and it robbed him of any chance to live a normal life. The book includes Fred's own writings that show his pain and suffering. Sadly, Fred passed away in Jan 2013, and now the family feels that it is urgent that people understand mental illness and start helping those in need.
