I RISE ABOVE IT ALL

For over three hours I sat before the Lord. I was asking questions from my Creator and my Father. My mind was low and my heart ached for the innocent children caught in the cross-hairs of the raging battles in the Middle East and various parts of the world. I sat in awe and fear of the powers of God and the destructive abilities of the evil. The answer that came to me was that we, human beings, are the ones perpetrating these manner of evils on ourselves because the world was created good.
I was led in spirit to these verses in the Book of Jeremiah in chapter 10 verses 7 to 8: "Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? For to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee. But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities."
I continued to press on with my questioning. I asked, "How about the innocent ones? How are we to cope in this type of world?" The answer was, "RISE ABOVE IT ALL." Based on this session before the throne, I began to study the many character in the Bible of those who rose above it all. It was then I realized that any story worth mentioning has a character that rose above it all. Each of this characters also encountered some form of distress, challenges and pain. The leading character is, our Lord Jesus Christ. He was one of the youngest and His ministry was also the shortest ever – just three years.
Though he was going about doing good deeds, healing and feeding people, they continued to pester him about His authority. "And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things." Mark 11:33.
