The Raven’s Guardian Series is a story of soul mates; two individuals mated by the hands of the Spirit Gods and Fates. True mates meant to be. However, one is a skin-walker and one is not. Lucian and his Wolf didn’t care for what Mr. Rupak was implying; Lucian knew without a shadow of a doubt what he thought about Raven and Lucian together. It was written all over his face at the Homecoming Dance. He answered with a low growl to his voice “Mr. Rupak, I can promise you that Raven is not in any physical danger, nor physically hurt. As I said before, I will be in to see you this afternoon and we can discuss her situation further.”
Mr. Rupak responded “Mr. Kane….I didn’t in……
Lucian interrupted before he could finish his sentence with “Mr. Rupak, I’m quite sure you did and this warrants no further conversation.” Lucian returned the phone to the cradle and, before returning to his apartment, went to the bar to get coffee for himself, and a glass of orange juice for Raven.
His staff was busy with the tasks required to keep Aniwahya Bar and Grille running smoothly and he was grateful. He paused long enough to ask Ami if they needed him for anything. She replied with a smile “We are fine out here; you go back to Raven. She needs you.”
Lucian put his arm around her shoulder and gave her a quick squeeze while saying “Thanks Bear, I love you!”
As he walked off Ami was wondering where her boss had disappeared to; she was definitely liking the new Lucian even more than the old; Raven had a gentleness about her that really calmed his Wolf. He had never been one to express himself through physical affection in all the years that Ami had known him.
