Fighter Pilot's Special Mission

This is a fiction story that follows a fighter pilot from flight training to assignment to a squadron on a carrier to becoming a seasoned pilot who flies CAP and other missions. On one mission, he must protect the carrier task force from an intruder flying supersonic toward it at night during a typhoon because all Aegis systems are blinded and the carrier can't launch aircraft.
