Decease and Desist

An embarrassed friend, a landlord who thinks his mother-in-law may be trying to kill him, an old enemy coming back around to ask for help, a daughter worried about a possible stalker.... Portland (Oregon) private detective Clint McCall has more than enough on his plate without any of it developing into a major disaster—but of course it all seems to be headed in that direction, not least because three very bad men have just arrived in town who may want some space of their own on his plate. He and rival PI Devon Malone find themselves working together—and against time—once again as the seemingly minor theft of a key ring leads mysteriously to a series of killings and kidnappings.
