There are so many books on Alzheimer's, but what many of those books lack is a raw look at the day-to-day concerns of being a caregiver. This book takes the readers through the discovery of the diagnosis, the transition to forfeiting control over one's own life, and eventually the placement of the patient in first an assisted living environment and then ultimately a convalescent center. Brown's experiences--both the triumphs and the bad decisions based on lack of information--are shared in a format to arm other caregivers with adequate information.
