View from the Sidelines

There may be many bystanders at the scene of an accident and you will probably get as many versions of the incident as there are people who recount it. Onlookers are milling around discussing the collision, talking on their cell phones, and waiting for the police and emergency vehicles to arrive.

No one takes notice of you sitting on the sidelines. The police take statements from eyewitnesses. No one asks you if you saw the crash. To everyone, you are invisible. You are an observer of life, not a participant.
