Twin Worlds: Kali and Luci
Upon return to Earth with her anti-gravity air car, Eagle One, and the alien from the planet Florez, Stephanie Saxon enjoys County Fairs, horse farms, and some celebrity. Her boyfriend arrives from an off-planet military assignment, and their reunion is briefly difficult, but eventually leads to a marriage proposal, a wedding at West Point and an around the world honeymoon beset with adventures, including a harrowing rescue at sea. Within months, Stevie must leave him behind when she is once again sent off to Florez on a diplomatic mission.
On route, the starship Kokopelli is attacked by pirates, and Stevie and Eagle One are marooned in Williams Space, and debate life, love, and death. After a close and dramatic retrieval engineered by Eagle One, they proceed onward to Florez.
Florez is outraged, and organize a punitive expedition to the home world, Ixixil, of the pirates. There, they rescue another intelligent species. Stevie single handedly intervenes and saves the planet from nuclear bombardment.
The fleet departs in pursuit of the Ixixil’s space navy, and catch them as they approach the Twin Worlds, two planets locked in close gravitational attraction. A fierce space battle ensues, with dramatic ship to ship encounters and general melee. With near space littered with starship debris, and metallic fragments raining down on the Twin Worlds, a peace of sorts is agreed to among the representatives of the five intelligent races, from five planets.
Stevie returns to Earth with her air car, to a hectic media blitz once again. Meanwhile, she builds a home, and prepares to raise a family.
