Alice had never seen a rabbit in a waistcoat with a pocket watch. But she did have a very tiny sprite that appeared randomly at her ear.

A mysterious guardian had placed her with a religious family in the Pacific Northwest. For the most part, they ignored her. She was given hand-me down clothing, a small room and food.
