About the Book
The author’s previous four books that dealt with grief were written for pastors and others who minister to the bereaved. Some of those have been used as textbooks in colleges, theological seminaries, and Clinical Pastoral Educational (CPE) training programs for hospital chaplains and other members of the clergy.
Coping With Your Grief is intended as an aid for those who are expecting the death of a loved one, or for those who are grieving the loss of a loved one who has died. Now retired, at age eighty-three, the author draws on his professional training and his thirty-one years of experience gained as a full-time, professional, bedside, hospital chaplain.
During that time, he ministered to more than 2000 grieving families at the time of the death of a loved one.
He also instructs the reader on how to help children cope with their grief.
This is the thirty-fourth book he has authored.
