Three Strong Western Women

This book contains the play "Three Strong Western Women" about Mormon handcart pioneer Emma Lee, the 17th plural wife of John D. Lee, the only man convicted in the Mountain Meadows Massacre, as well as the story of Minnie Guenther, a lifelong missionary on the White Mountain Apache Reservation who helped the tribe through devastating epidemics. The third woman is Lozen, an Apache warrior who rode with Geronimo. In addition to the play, the book contains 17 chapters of background and backstory information on the lives and times of the women.
