Langden Hawke's bloody history has led him into some pretty tight scrapes, but none tighter than Fort Valiant. When the mercenary captain sells his sword to the fort's desperate defenders, Langden believes he's finally found an escape from his violent profession -- if he can stay alive long enough to cash in the contract.
