A Jurangodong in Hoogerville

In the title story, the citizens of Hoogerville are concerned when they find their children disappearing at night, and even more concerned when they find them not coming back. Something needs to be done, but these folk aren't too quick with ideas, so they turn to the Mayor, who isn't either. Luckily, there is a little girl left in town who has some wits about her, and a pretty good thinker in her head, too. A delightful story for parents of young children or children of young parents. There's a Jurangodon involved, and who doesn't like stories about those? There's also some spelling that gets corrected along the way.

In The Best Mayor Ever, the President of the Irresistible Force Company comes to town and sets up shop, creating trouble for the Mayor, who gets a good talking to from the Chairman of the Immovable Objects Company. How can this town be big enough for both? This one has argument, whimsy, potential catastrophe, a yo-yo, and Wuffle Umps. What more could anyone ask?
