Jake Morrison, erstwhile attorney, and Angel Zara Jane, continue their paranormal legal adventuring. Jake wonders aloud whether he and Zara Jane can marry, knowing that this will set off a debate as to the question as to whether Angels and Humans could ever coexist in the same plane of existence, a gift from the gods. A new case opens up where an elderly woman believes that she has been defrauded in a series of securities transactions, and solicits the duo's help to trace the missing funds. The pair travel to Palm Springs, California, and not everything is what it seems. How complicit was her son in the loss of funds? Zara Jane explains to Jake what it is that Angels specifically do in the lives of humans to change their destinies and help them live accomplished lives.
