When Rena, station chief of an interstellar craft, carries out her orders to attempt capture of a human with unusual DNA characteristics, all hell breaks loose. In Shadow of Turning, opportunists with criminal purposes worm their way into the power structure of a large school system, compromise law enforcement, and gain access to all that tax money. “Education” takes on a whole new meaning. Her superiors replace her with Ana, a haughty officer, who belittles Rena and her efforts. Later, Ana and a much larger team are wiped out by Kelly and comrades. In a last ditch effort, Rena and another female officer disguise themselves as Earth women and unleash high caliber flirting on Kelly and friends. This disarms the men and they are taken.
En route to the center of Annunaki civilization, unexpected threats arise. Rena’s own people, manifestations of Earth’s development of The Singularity, ancient races, and entities guarding old secrets emerge in pursuit. Rena and Kelly are thrown together to survive.
