When I first set out to landscape around my brand new swimming pool I wasn't sure where to begin. I started with searching the internet, only to be given the generic advice of "choose plants that can tolerate some splashing of chlorinated or salt water", yet they failed to mention what types of plants met this criteria. After researching extensively and talking to many professional landscapers, I had also discovered that the plants that were actually recommended by websites were detrimental to my pool and could cost thousands of dollars to repair the damage that would be caused by these plants.
