Miserable Convenience

Lynn Foster, country boy turned DC hotshot lawyer, returns to his hometown, driving his refurbished ‘72 Pinto station wagon, to defend one of the six friends he grew up with known as the “gang”; Melissa, professional poker player and artist, is accused of burning her own home down. More than a house went up in smoke, as friendship, marriage, and career are put in jeopardy. There is murder in the air, as well. From Lynn’s mother, who signs her notes “Bert, your mother”, to a Great Dane/Rottweiler named Bob, each character has I-knew-someone-like appeal, with a nice dose of quirky, making them easy for the reader to know. There are clues along the way, but don’t be too quick in solving the crime, as some may be laying the road for the next in the series.
