Brie's baby brother is a trap, the only ghost around may have been the one to kill her, and -if that wasn't enough- her life doesn't seem to have happened quite the way she remembers it. What do you expect of death? Loved ones who've passed on ahead, pearly gates and a heavenly saint to welcome you? Even the burning pits of hell might be more understandable than what Brie and Libby face, but then, why should the afterlife come with better instructions than this one? Brie and Libby deal with everything from existential questions, to the challenges of shopping while dead; they strive to understand where their afterlives are taking them, and how to make that journey include Paris. Brie may be a bit headstrong, and Libby is definitely a little crazy, but they need each other and they are connected in ways they don’t fully understand.
