Kent Island Mysteries - The Headless Oysterman is not just a tale from the rough and salty days of the Chesapeake Oyster Wars...nor just a saga of revenge and dark justice...nor just the history and present day struggles of the fearless watermen who harvest the beloved bivalves we know as Crassostrea Virginica - it's about everything "oyster."
Why is a disguised phantom lurking around Kent Island leaving people dead in his wake? Why are just select people the target of his morbid travels? Will anyone stop him before more die from his briny hands?
History and fi ction always come alive when the right characters of Kent Island are involved - even if some are now themselves 'history.'
A portion of each book will again be donated to The Kent Island Heritage Society.
Mark Lidinsky is a native Marylander who grew up in Baltimore and now resides full-time on Kent Island in the Chesapeake Bay. A former English and Irish Literature Professor, Mark combines his love of history (he is a member of the Kent Island Heritage Society and Edgar Allan Poe Society) with his literary background, to weave historical fiction.
Kent Island Mysteries - The Headless Oysterman is the second in a series of novels based on Kent Island's rich heritage and current mystical charm.
Next in the series: The historical Chesapeake Bay and its rivers are the epicenter for crabbing intrigue. Get your Old Bay ready for Kent Island Mysteries - Callinectes Sapidus - Steamed, Hon!
