Uncle Tom's Cabin

Published in 1852, Uncle Tom’s Cabin is the story of Tom, a profoundly loyal and religious slave who’s sold from his beloved owner, Arthur Shelby. Tom becomes the property of Augustine St. Clare who promises to free him. When Augustine dies as a result of a stabbing, the promise does not materialize. Tom is sold to another owner; the vicious and greedy Simon Lagree!
