A collection of four short stories, including the title tale "Ride 'Em, Cyboy," Roberson's only published science fiction, which made the preliminary Nebula ballot; the humorous story "Never Look At A Gift Sword In The Horse's Mouth: or The Horse Who Would Be King," told from the viewpoint of a young King Arthur's horse; "Riding The Nightmare," a paranormal story of a modern-day rodeo cowboy and a very special bronc; and "Final Exam," a tale of a test and a witch.
