The Logic Of Living A Spiritual Life

Those who worship logic instead of God are only half right. Not only is it logical to believe in God and to live a faith-based life, the existence of a loving, benevolent God that governs all creation is perhaps the only systematic worldview that explains every aspect of life.

Not believing in God because you don't see evidence of God's existence when you look at the surface events of life is like not believing in fish because you don't see evidence of their existence when you look at the surface of the ocean. Although the workings of divine forces are beyond the scope of human comprehension, logic demands that you do not equate the limits of your perception with the limits of all there is to perceive. As Emerson so eloquently noted, "All I have seen teaches me to trust the Creator for all I have not seen."

The greater your understanding of spiritual laws, the easier it is to see God's fingerprints on whatever comes your way. Life's mysteries willingly reveal themselves and difficult questions are answered. You see beauty and order where others see confusion and chaos. When you come from this perspective, not believing in God seems illogical and unreasonable.
