2 Cheffies and a Steak

There are two Cheffies and a steak. There are two brothers, Otto and Agnew, at stake, when preparing a given meal precisely and perfectly. The twin brothers, much like Laurel and Hardy, perform brilliantly in their kitchen and apply the low-key, highly dramatic actions so typical in an old black & white movie. There is a poignant love here, aside from a shared love of food; it is the unique love between twins. How much alike are they, could they be considered two halves of one person? How different are they from one another, and how clear their mutual respect for each other is? Are there truly different kinds of similarities and differences at work here? This flash fiction piece, written in the tradition of a one-act play, strips away all extraneous aspects, and provides you with a true essence of love at work, in a kitchen, in the Midwest, in 1950.
