“Shit, a man ain’t nothin’ to you until he’s everything.” Whip raised his hand to shield his face from the afternoon sun. His shirt was open to the waist, showing off his muscled torso. The time he had spent in prison had built him up until he was leaner, harder and more muscled since before he had entered Texas State Prison. He kept thinking how impressed Monty would be when they saw each other again.
“Did you say somethin’ Boss?” Caleb made sure to stay upwind of Whip. The last few days Whip had become dizzy with lust every time Caleb came near. Obviously Whip was not immune to the charms of the genetically altered experiment, known to him only as Caleb.
Whip’s meeting with Monty had already occurred in the town saloon and Monty had been a tad less than friendly. He was almost hostile, and warned Whip not to come near him or his family. Whip wasn’t finished with his plan to ‘get’ Kent and make mincemeat of Monty. He figured he had worked too long and dreamed too hard to let it go, not when he was so close.
“He was distraught. All that devastation around him would’ve unnerved a normal guy let alone a strong man like Monty Ross. If money is all that’s gonna stand between us then I’ll just have to figure it out. Meanwhile I’ll just let Monty see all this ...” Whip rubbed the sweat off of his bulging pectorals and his chiseled torso.
“You’ll romance the last Ross boy. Break his heart, Caleb. Leave him an emotional wreck. Then you’ll do the same to Monty, and when you dump him, dump him hard. I’ll be there to pick up the pieces. Whip laughed, and he couldn’t stop laughing.
“Just tell me how hard you want him to fall, boss.” Caleb brushed the hair away from his eyes. The sun was certainly brighter today than it had been the past few days. Whip insisted on taking this ride up and around the mountainous region. Caleb was not immune to nature’s beauty but he did believe that Whip might have become a bit unhinged over Monty’s rejection of him.
“I tell you Caleb, having one eye just makes the other one stronger. It sees more, even feels more. I hope but am saddened that you won’t ever have to go through the pain and beauty of having one eye. I remember when I had two good working eyes.”
