Description:
Once again Escorts Undercover, a little-known, highly secret division of the FBI, puts a gorgeous female agent in jeopardy.
Patti Penn, just recovered from being shot on a previous assignment, goes undercover as a high-class escort to unlock the secrets of a powerful man suspected of internationally laundering mob money. She’s physically fit and ready for work, but is she emotionally ready?
Secret Service Agent Russ O’Reilly is instantly captured by this stunning beauty. And his body’s reaction proves it.
Can they ignore their combustible attraction to each other long enough to catch a money launderer? And can Russ stand to see Patti use her body to lure their suspect when all he wants to do is make her his own?
Danger, sex, passion. That’s The Banker and the Call Girl.
Reader Alert!
Danger! Russ O’Reilly is one hot Secret Service Special Agent. He burns at the first touch! Caution! For Patti Penn the embers can blister and may never subside.
To My Readers:
Would you ever think the FBI would run an escort service? Not on your life. I wanted to write a story where the FBI looked like it was involved in something illegal but the twist of it was they were catching white-collar criminals. The characters are sexy, hot and passionate about their jobs. And they’re determined to catch criminals, even if their suspect is into kinky sex. Once I wrote the first book, The Client and the Call Girl, I had to bring the other sexy, hot, yet determined female FBI agents to the page. Each one has a different personality, and each one will not back down from a fight. Yet all three agents find love brings a new set of problems and a passion they’ve never felt before.
Excerpt:
Dangerous. Patti Penn ignored the riot of butterflies in her stomach and unclenched her hands. Yes, this was the first assignment she’d be in charge of since she’d been shot. Yes, she felt one hundred percent—physically.
Emotionally was another story. But she wasn’t telling the FBI that.
Patti straightened her shoulders, held her head high and walked into Sunset High, the trendiest bar on the Sunset Strip. Patti liked the bar. Its dark décor hid a multitude of sins, one being Escorts Undercover, the secret division of the FBI she worked for. They’d almost stopped using the bar as a front for their escort service because the previous owner John Raison had been part of a terrorist organization. With Raison in Gitmo forever the bar had been sold to a retired FBI agent willing to keep the deep secrets of the FBI to himself.
She spied her suspect, Jason Salvatore, head of International Global Bank, sitting in a booth in a dark corner of the room. The choice of the darkest corner said something to Patti, since Sunset High was a gentleman’s club with notoriously dim lighting. She pasted a wide smile on her face and swung her hips more than usual as she walked to Salvatore’s booth.
And after all, that’s what a call girl would do.
She reached the table and realized two men were sitting in the dark. She couldn’t see the second man well even though he faced the room. So did her suspect. None of that surprised Patti.
The FBI suspected Jason Salvatore of laundering money for the mob. Internationally laundering money, of course. She too, would choose a view of the bar if she took dirty money from the mob. Sicilian mobsters didn’t like people stealing from them. Not in the United States, or Italy, or anywhere. Patti wondered how much money Salvatore kept for himself.
“Hello, gentlemen. By a girl a drink?” Patti had a low, sultry voice. Her male co-workers teased her about her “bedroom voice.”
Salvatore stood and she slid into the booth between the two men. He looked just like his pictures. Dark complexion, black hair combed straight back from his high forehead. Intense eyes. Very Italian. Most women considered Salvatore a handsome man, but Patti thought he seemed sleazy, shifty. His eyes constantly moved around the room then finally stopped on Patti’s face.
“Didn’t I tell you their reputation was stellar?” Salvatore said to the man sitting across from him, his eyes never leaving Patti’s face.
“You did, Jason. I’m impressed.”
Patti’s body reacted to the man’s voice like dry tinder to a match. Her nipples puckered and hardened. The tight material of her dress tortured them, rubbing her sensitive breasts and causing the bud between her legs to tingle with hot, desperate desire. Who was this man? She’d never reacted to a voice before and she worked with dozens of men all day long.
