Franklin Uzel has a problem. That problem is his Shadow. It's constantly getting him into trouble and creating mischief. In a town where name-calling and put downs have been elevated to an art form, the last thing he needs is something else making even more trouble for him. Growing up is hard enough as it is. Things take an interesting turn with the arrival of Stacey, a new girl in his class. When she befriends him and sticks up for him following yet another shadow-related incident, will he do the right thing? If not, can he find a way fix the damage that he may have caused before things spiral completely out of control? To solve their problems, the kids embark on a journey to find the place where all the shadows go; a place they're not entirely sure even exits. Along the way, they meet an array of interesting characters who seem all too willing to help them. But, are they helping? Or, are they just making things worse?

It's about facing your problems, coming up with solutions, and, sometimes, seeing what was right there in front of you all along. Most of all, it's about the journey, the road that life puts in front of all of us. Sometimes, it doesn't matter where you end up, but how you got there in the first place.
